These issues affect the daily operations of the company and there is great need of solving the effectively and efficiently. The first issue that needs great concern is staff turnover. Staff turnover is a very important issue in this mining software industry. The second notable issue in the company is the scarcity of technical labor. To be specific the video dialogue reveals that the company experiences a great deficiency of mining engineers and geologists. These are very important employees in the mining software industry. Without them the company cannot run as expected to meet its goals and objectives. The third issue that Gemcom Software International Inc. competition from other companies. Other companies in the mining industry are using automated machines to enhance their operations specifically mining. The issue of completion therefore is an issue that needs immediate and faster responses and solutions. The other issue that the company is facing is the issue of opportunistic agents. These are agents that cannot remain loyal to the company due to their personal objectives. There is also need to address environmental concerns since the company is under the mining industry. CAUSES There are quite a number of causes to these issues that Gemcom Software International Inc. is facing. These wererevealedby the research conducted and the video dialogue. From the video dialogue it is evident that the company experiences low staff turnover. This is due to the fact that mining industry at large has been neglected. Several institutions worldwide do concentrate on other fields forgetting the mining industry. This has also contributed to the scarcity of the technical labor specifically geologists and mining engineers. The issue of competition is actually caused by lack of enough funds. The company could be affording automated machines, a technology that other competitors are taking for their advantage. The issue of opportunistic agents is caused by various factors. Some of the factors that can lead to this include lack of job satisfaction, poor company rules and regulations for employees and lack of conducive working environment. The issues to do with environment are caused by poor adherence to the government regulations on environmental issues. ALTERNATIVES Gemcom Software International Inc. as revealed by the video dialogue has really tried to tackle the issue of staff turnover but not to the maximum. In an effort to tackle this issue Gemcom Software International Inc. has created scholarship opportunities and partnering with Mongolian University of Science and Technology. However, this approach is not enough. The company needs to partner with several institutions of higher learning. The company also needs to partner with the Government through the relevant industries to come up with long term solutions to this problem. They need to create more awareness through social media, print media and even the internet in order to attract the young generation towards this career. If Gemcom Software International Inc. introduces a training program for this mining specialists required such as engineers and geologists it will yield success. The training program will invite qualified and interested candidates for these fields. The company therefore will not struggle anymore with issue of technical labor scarcity. Another important alternative for Gemcom Software International Inc. is to partner with various other industries such as bank. The banks will be very efficient in funding the programs of the company when need arises. For example in the issue of competition, the partner could have funded the company money as a capital to source automated machine. Such partnerships are very crucial to big companies. This therefore is a great alternative if the company can adopt it as soon as possible. Gemcom Software International Inc. tried to solve the negative consequences of using agents in their operations by employing direct staff. The agents in some case proved opportunistic with their personal objectives leading to unexpected changes as revealed by the video dialogue. This report therefore advocates for great need for the company to set clear rules and regulations governing employment. The company needs to clearly embrace a common culture of employment across all its business units. If employees are to be outsourced or permanent employees be employed, the rules and regulations needs to be clear on that. The alternative to the environmental issues can be addressed through partnership with agencies dealing with environmental related issues. Such agencies will guide the company and working with them in line with the governments regulations on environmental issues.
