The growing significance of managing corporate identity is understood and underscored by a 1989 survey in  Britain by market opinion research international which found that 77 percent of leading industrialists questioned, believe that the importance of their firms attached to developing and promoting their corporate identity would increase in the near future and this prediction according to research came to materialize years later. The overriding reason for the burgeoning for corporate identity is clear, we live in a time of immense environmental complexity and changes and consequently, corporations have been forced to significantly alter their strategies to better compete and survive.

According to Nora Reed (2007), although it is difficult to measure the impact on the overall success of the business, logos have been acknowledged as the major contributor to the brand's profitability. She went further to say although logos are becoming increasingly popular within the business community, they are simultaneously becoming the focal point of the masses that see them as symbols of everything being offered by the possessor. In other words, logos give the general perception of the company’s products and services.

The high fashion industry is one of those sectors where logos are being used nowadays. Fashion logos are constantly being used on fashion labels as a personal mode of expression of the designer.B ut it doesn’t suffice to have a fashion logo if it is not designed to communicate a message or an image. According to experts people tend to remember images more than texts. When they see an image they do not only remember it but keep it stored in their memory with much more details. Thus the importance of a logo design.

T his represent not only an image showing maybe the business title in fancy letters, but it actually represents the business as a whole. Claudia Winifred in her Research has revealed that a good logo design strives to put as many visual messages is the logo as possible.
