Running Head: Web Based System Integration Web Based System Integration [Writer’s Name] [Institute’s Name] Web Based System Integration Executive summary Web has been considered to be one of the most integrated browsing prototypes and this fact has seen to be making it difficult for the integration and the retrieval of the data from the different available websites to happen. Thereby, for the purpose of retrieval as well as integration of the data the main aim has been to build web based applications that have been considered to be time consuming in some cases as well as has been notched. This situation has been seen difficult to handle in some cases. In this case as has been seen, web based integration systems integrate the software applications as well as the legacy systems. The newer integration system is designed in such a way that is accessible through the web browser. As a web based integrator one has the responsibility to create the kind of the web based systems which utilizes all the technologies and the tools that are available in hand. In this case two web based e-business portals can be compared with each other as they can never be similar in any case. There are differences in the way they are implemented. In this paper there are two main websites that shall be compared in the ways they have been recommended by the users and the customers to be used as well as their modes of information and the information technology integration techniques by which it shall be analyzed if they have achieved the goals of gaining more of customer acceptance. Introduction The combination of the legacy systems as well as the software systems can be helpful in creating web based applications by which the businesses can be done in many ways so as to gain the customer responses as well as more of the markets in the face of competition. In order to make the systems work in different way knowledge is needed so that a diverse kind of knowledge can be applied in this case along with the skills in technology. A detailed knowledge of multiple platforms as well as technical knowledge in this case is required. As one can notice, these are the days when the programming language and the internet is the stream that have advanced at a faster pace. Thereby, it has to be seen as well as realized by the integration system analysts that a deep and thorough knowledge of these is required. Trading tools have to be kept in mind as it is realized as a fact that the web based integrated systems are being managed on a greater merit by many organizations so as to speed up customer satisfaction as well as the retrieval of customer responses. This is because the main value of these organizations is that the customers are the stake holders for every organization. As the modern customers are aware, these are the days when business has been taken onwards on the internet and it has been referred to as e-commerce. All the buying as well as selling process goes on over the internet with all the money dealings in the form of credit cards. In this case the e business customers are familiar with the two busiest and biggest e commerce giants as EBay and Amazon. Amazon has been known as one of the giants in the business worlds. The site deals in computers, books, songs, music albums, toys and all the items that are in demand by the customers. Aquarell is a Denmark based online business portal that deals with the flowers bouquet selling. These are the two main organizations that shall be discussed in this paper. The discussion would be about what kinds of web based integration systems are being used and whether these systems are enough to satisfy all the customer demands. In this case one thing that has to be analyzed is what the reviews and responses of the customers are regarding the maintenance and usability in terms of these websites. One is aware of the fact that the entire product search, such as all the lists of the products is on the webpage of the organization. Therefore, the first thing that comes into the minds of the customers is the webpage user friendly environment in which they can look through and browse about easily. Amazon has had some bad features introduced into the pages as has been noticed by customer reviews. It has been said that the pages are cluttered. It has been seen that the product information has not been organized on the pages as well as the customers find it hard to find the related information. Although it has been seen that Amazon operates in more than six countries other than US, still there is no integration between the six sites. In case of usage of the webpage, it is seen that Amazon the related rules of the clusters that are caused on the webpage because of the search feature. The feature’s search engine in this case has been A9. Category pages on Amazon make it difficult to identify the best prices on the products as a single e commerce engine is being used. Moreover, it has been seen that the e commerce engine has served as an online platform for the other e commerce companies. Users’ ease in the usability is also tested by the fact of receiving emails from the other brands in which Amazon deals with, and this has been the counted fact. It has to be realized by the web based business portals that customer satisfaction is the main aim that has to be achieved in one way or the other as this is the most challenging competition in all cases. Customers, being the stake holders, are the ones who decide at the most impotent level as to how the business is performing rather than the sales figures. In case of aquarelle.de it has been seen that the customers are not satisfied in any way and there are no generated recommendations in this case. As has been seen in the case of Amazon, being the one webpage that has been seen to be confusing in many aspects, the customers are mostly found to be satisfied in case of the emails that are delivered to them for the confirmation. It has been seen in case of aquarelle.de that, as the customers say, they receive emails from the company constantly asking them for the delivery details in spite of the fact that the details have been given to the company in the needed details. In addition to this, as compared to Amazon, the webpage is not up to the mark in attractiveness and user ratings define that the webpage has not been able to gain too much of an audience appreciation. Moreover, as it has been said that the business done over the internet is the mind that can be defined by the webpage as well as its usability; thereby, in this case it has been seen that the webpage is not liked by the customers, leaving the customers unsatisfied by the services being delivered on time with the best possible quality. In addition to this it has been added by the customers that the delivery of the plants or the bouquets is never on time and the plants being the main products at aquarelle.de are not delivered in a proper condition. There is no other way in which the customers can make the changes in the kinds of the plants being offered. In this way it has been said that the customers are left with little options in selections. Thereby, the main comparisons that can be made between Amazon and aquarelle.de is that Amazon, although not being able to satisfy the customers in the best possible manner, has given the customers the best quality products with a lot to choose from. In addition to this the business portal has been seen to be made more successful with the use of better technologies and the use of information at Amazon. The changes that are needed in the case of aquarelle.de is that a standard of the e-business portal is to be integrated into the website so that the customers can have better information in case of the products being delivered. Also, the customers should be given the choices to make the changes in the products as they might desire. Recommendations Information is now the main entity for the companies that want their businesses to go online. These are the days when competition in case of business to business scenarios has increased to a great extent and the organizations are evolving on the internet so as to make their trading a success. Enterprise information portal applications have been used by Amazon in this case so as to make the search easier for the customers across the different databases. It has to be seen that aquarelle.de has to apply and implement this as well so as to give the customers a proper freedom in the choice of the product that they desire. These are the information based portals that have been seen as a success in web based businesses and these are the portals that can let the customer have an access to a wide variety of information by making use of web browser interface. The most important back draft that has been noticed in the case of aquarelle.de has been the appropriate responses that are required by the customers in the form of emails. As compared to Amazon, the information technology system portals that make sure that the swift email responses are generated on the customers’ query are the ones that make the customer satisfy and this is not the case with aquarelle.de. Conclusion Information technology in the form of e-businesses has to be utilized in the best and skilled manner, all the gathered knowledge in the through needs to be applied by all the companies that deal with the customers on an online basis. Best of the customer satisfaction levels are the ones that need to be delivered so as the businesses can run in a well organized manner. References White, Martin. (2000).
