For example, with the increasing divorce rates, children end up suffering from problems created by their parents. Most children who are victims of parent divorce, death and or separation experience a lot but with nobody to offer even a shred of help. Nonetheless, there have been attempts by both governmental and nongovernmental organization to bring together and take care of such children. It is my belief however that the social work profession through its laws and ethics can be well utilized to achieve this goal.

My concern, however, is that professionalizing social practices have led to the social workers were more interested in making money over serving the people. Working as a social worker requires both professional and personal skills. There are traits that a social worker is expected to possess to be able to work with the different types of people they come across. As a social worker, I have used my belief and respect for diversity to serve all my clients irrespective of tribe, religion, or race.

My flexibility has also helped me to adopt and associate well with people of all socioeconomic classes. With my ethically relevant traits, I have served people of all gender without considering their ability or sexual orientation. Social workers are guided by NAWS code of ethics standards. All the decisions and judgments they make are guided by this same code of conduct. However, there are situations where a social worker may be forced to take an action that conflicts with these codes of ethics.
